Well, it IS January, after all and we have close to 20 inches of snow on the ground. It is a sunny day after the storm, and there is a "window" of time in which to paint before gloves must be used. Usually I find that this window is about an hour and a half -- around 11 AM - 12:30 PM. Even then it may be advisable to turn to pastel or even charcoal sketching to avoid the delay of set-up that oils usually takes me. I must drop off a few paintings before I can enjoy the sunny snow!
